Here's the colored version of the previous B&W line drawing [link] for an illustration I'm working on for one of my classes. The assignment is to illustrate a childhood memory.
Now you're asking, "What kind of fucked up childhood did he have?" Well, the basic story is that I was down at this creek by my childhood house, and I came across a dead eel. Curious as to what it was and if it was alive, I decided I'd poke it with a stick. Suddenly to my horror, blood spurt out and landed on my wrist. I told my brother, and, unable to let such a golden opportunity pass, he told me that he knew a kid once that had the same thing happen - and he's dead! At that moment I looked down at my wrist and noticed little bubbly blisters were forming. This proved too much for my fragile little mind as I proceded to run home screaming, "I'm going to die!" over and over and over. Here I'm showing the traumatic moment of the blood landing on my arm - the swirling background representing the building panic and horror of my impending death. I'll love you more if you comment. |
